Michael Behn was born on September 30th, 1972 in Århus, Denmark, as Ari
Michael Bjørshol. He is the oldest child of Marianne Solberg Behn and
Olav Bjørshol. He has a younger sister, Anja and a younger brother, Espen.
His parents are divorced.
Ari Behn lived in Great Britain, but was raised in Norway. He was educated at the Steinerskolen in Moss and studied religion history.
In 1999 his first novel, Trist som Faen ('Sad as Hell'), was published. He is also a TV producer. Ari Behn met Princess Märtha Louise in 2000. The couple got engaged on December 13th, 2001.
They plan to write a book about their wedding.
