May 19th, 2001 - The marriage of Prince Constantijn and Laurentien Brinkhorst was
confirmed at the Grote of St Jacobs Church in The Hague today.
The ceremony was attended by friends, family, members of parliament and several royals from abroad.
I was lucky enough to get a front place in front of the church. I have made several very good pictures, those are now available, including the full report. The picture on this page was made by me.
The couple was married by reverent Carel ter Linden, 'home
reverent' of Queen Beatrix. The bride was dressed by Belgian couturier Edouard Vermeulen,
who also designed Princess Mathilde's wedding dress.
After the ceremony the couple made a grand tour through The Hague from the church to
Palace Noordeinde. Bride, groom and their parents then went on to the balcony.
