| News | Special Wedding report, civil ceremony This morning I left my home in The Hague at 9.50u to watch Constantijn and Laurentien and other members of the Royal Family arrive at the Javastraat for the civil ceremony. After taking the tram and walking, I arrived at 10.20u; I was of course not the first one to arrive! Luckily I found myself a front spot; the weather looked ok; so I was pretty happy and tested my photo camera. But unfortunately after only half an hour big dark clouds entered the sky and left us with pooring rain and even hail stones! Just as the guest started to arrive. I had soked wet and very cold hands . Although I had a front place it turned out to be pretty difficult to make my own pictures; I only made 6 and I'm not sure i've their quality is good enough. Cars and policemen (and women) hampered my view, but I was lucky enough the Royal Bus stopped right in front of me! This ment all the guest who had arrived with the bus, would have to pass us and this included our new queen-to-be, Máxima, who today celebrated her 30th birthday. She got a wonderful gift: her Dutch nationality. Máxima will however not give up her Argentine one. I got a wonderful glimp of Máxima and Willem-Alexander and other members of the Royal Family. After I went downtown to city hall to sign the marriage congratulation book. Tomorrow evening I will go to Noordeinde to see the arrival of the Crown Princes/Princesses for the Diner Dansant.
