Civil Ceremony The civil ceremony took place at the Beurs van Berlage, situated at the Damrak in Amsterdam. This building was build in 1903 and used to be the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. It was named after its architect, Hendrik Petrus Berlage. Willem-Alexander and Máxima married in the grand Commodity Exchange. This room offered enough place for the 600 guests from all over the country. The civil ceremony was further only attended by family and close friends. The couple was married by the mayor of Amsterdam, Job Cohen. The couple received a very special wedding book, especially designed for the day.
