Iñaki spend his childhood in Barcelona, where he lived until he was 16, when he moved to Vitoria. The young Iñaki was a talented handball player and at the age of 18 he started his professional carreer with FC Barcelona, the club he remained loyal to until his farewell to handball in September 2000. Iñaki Urdangarín is the most succesful Spanish handball player ever, winning over more than 40 titles in his carreer. He also won two bronze medals at the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics. Iñaki met his wife, infanta Cristina of Spain, during the Atlanta Games. The couple were married a year later and have three sons, Juan Valentín, Pablo Nicolás and Miguel. |
