He returned once, in 1993. Pavlos was educated in London at the Greek school and at the military academy of Sandhurst. After completing these educations he went studying at the Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Together with his cousin, CrownPrince Felipe of Spain. It was there that he met his future wife, miss Marie-Chantal Miller. To be accurate they met in New-Orleans in 1992 at a wedding anniversary of a greec couple, who were friends of Marie-Chantals father at of Pavlos parents. It was love at first sight. Pavlos proposed during the annual Christmasholiday at Gstaad, Switzerland. Because there was no other place were Pavlos and Marie-Chantal could be on their own, Pavlos proposed when he and Marie-Chantal were in a telecabine. Their engagement was made public on January 9th, 1995 in London at Pavlos parents home. They were married on July 1st, 1995 in presence of more then 200 royals. On July 25th, 1996 Marie-Chantal gave birth to Maria-Olympia, their first child. Their second child, a son, was born on October 29th, 1998 and named Constantine Alexios, after his grandfather. Their third was born on August 12th 2000 and was named Achileas Andreas. |
