She has two elder sisters, Queen Margrethe of Denmark and princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. AnneMarie married King Constantine of Greece on September 18th, 1964. She was only eighteen yeard old then. Only 10 months later she became a proud mother when her first child, daughter Alexia was born. She and Constantine have five childeren, Alexia(1965), Pavlos(1967), Nikolaos(1969), Theodora(1983) and Philippos(1986). In 1967 Constantine and AnneMarie had to fly from Greece because of a military cop. They only returned for a short vacation in 1993. AnneMarie now lives in London with Constantine and her two younger children. |
