30th, 2002 - Today it's Queen's Day in
The Netherlands.
The Royal Family visited Meppel and Hoogeveen. For the first time Máxima and Laurentien took part in the celebrations. Missing were Prince Claus, who is still in hospital and Bernhard and Annette, who are about to become parents for the first time.
The Royal Family was to visit Meppel and Hoogeveen last year, but due to the foot-and-mouth-disease the visit was canceled. Queen Beatrix promised to come back the next year, as she did.
