23th, 2001 - Máxima Zorreguieta did not only broke her leg on
Tuesday, but also her ankle.
Crown Prince Willem-Alexander's fiancée was operated at the Red Cross Hospital in The Hague today, according to the Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst.
The ankle was fixed with screws and a plate and put in a cast. The leg will stay in a cast for at least another eight weeks.
Máxima did not have to stay in the hospital, she returned to Palace Huis ten Bosch in the afternoon. She is expected to meet with the members of Parliament on July 3th, after the discussions and vote on the act for consent.
