Filippa of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn killed

Filippa of Sayn-Wittgenstein-SaynOctober 1st, 2001Princess Filippa of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn was killed in a car crash in England last night.

The young princess, only 21 years old, had just started her new job with Italian photographer Sissini; this was her first work abroad.

The princess had just married Italian count Vittorio Mazzeti d'Albertis on June 8th in Bendorf. She was the middle of the seven children of Alexander and Gabriela of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn.

She is survived by her husband, her parents and her brothers and sisters (Heinrich, Alexandra (married to Carl-Eugen zu Oetingen), Casimir, Ludwig-Frans, Sofia and Peter).

The princess will be buried in Italy on October 6th; a memorial service will be held in Bendorf on October 12th.
